Who we supply, and what they prepare

Metallographic work looks different in a refinery laboratory, an MRO shop and a university teaching lab. Each page sets out what that sector prepares and tests, and which consumables the work actually needs.

Sectors we supply

Oil, gas and petrochemical

Weld qualification, corrosion assessment and duplex phase balance. Much of the region's metallographic work, and most of it is bound by a code.

Aerospace and MRO

Turbine hardware, coatings and case depth, under specifications that name the method as well as the result. The Gulf's MRO base makes this a larger category…

Independent testing laboratories

Third-party laboratories running to standard for many customers at once. The constraint is repeatability across operators and across months, not the best result a good operator…

Universities and research

Many materials, small quantities, and operators who change every semester. The constraints are almost the opposite of a production laboratory's.

Automotive and metals production

Production control rather than investigation: the same few materials, many samples a day, and a number that has to be right and has to be quick.

Construction materials and QC

Reinforcement, structural sections, fasteners and coatings, tested against the specification a project was approved on. Volume work with a documentary purpose.

What these pages are for

They are a route into the catalogue for a buyer who knows their own work better than they know a consumables index. Nobody arrives looking for “rigid grinding discs”; they arrive because a duplex weld has to be phase-counted or a coating has to be measured for porosity.

The description of each sector’s work is ours and is general engineering knowledge. It makes no claim about any particular customer, and the consumables each page links to are linked because the work needs them, not because anyone has told us what they buy.

Tell us what you prepare and we will tell you what it needs.
Send a part number, a photograph of the label, or the material and the step you are running — we reply with a written quotation within one business day.
